This weekend in North Carolina was beautiful. Saturday was in the 70's and Sunday we slept in. Sleeping in is so not something that we would normally do, especially on a Sunday. Yes, we missed Church. By the time we woke up it was already too late. It was fine because not long after we got up I started to get a horrible head ache.
Sunday in depth: The hubby and I needed to go to Lowe's and look at some flooring. The kids were already being a pain. You know what I mean, not listening, screaming at each other, not doing chores, etc... I wanted to leave the kids home. I just was not in the mood to have them tag along to go to a store that I already knew they did not care about and would whine about being there. I thought it would be an opportunity to spend some time alone with the hubby. Now keep in mind, I did tell him this before hand. But in the end, we all went to town and what I thought would happen did. They whined and fussed. Now of course, the hubby did not hear most of this because he was off by himself looking at lawnmowers. So when all of that was over we went home. By this time my head ache had grown to the size of Texas. The hubby had to take the trash off. Now I realize that this is not a glamorous date idea or anything but it would get me out of the house. When I mentioned this to the hubby he gave me "the look". You know the one "you mean you want to go with me! Are you crazy, that is man time!" So what did I do...I backed off and said, "I will just stay here." So let's fast forward a while, he had a 30 minute errand to run. Knowing that I had a terrible head ache and since he did not say anything to me then I assumed he would come right back. Well, NO, he did not. He did not return for about 4 hours and when he returned and I was laying on the couch in tears he could not understand why I was upset. I was crying because my head hurt so bad. I was frustrated that he had no consideration for what was happening at home while he was out doing whatever.
Am I over reacting here?
