My husband signed his contract in May 2009. At the contract signing he had the choice of only 2 MOS's. One that I thought he was PERFECT for and one that gave me the willies. Which did he choose you ask, of course he is a man, so he chose the one that game me the willies. From that point on my new saying was, "I have no opinion about that!" Sometimes I wonder why men even ask our opinions if they already have their mind made up. I guess it is to make us feel included but in the end it just makes us feel more excluded. There were so many "promises" made that day.
His duty station would be about an hour and a half away from our home, which was beyond the mileage requirements so this would allow for us to get reimbursed for travel expenses. Mileage was reimbursed as an expense so we were told, WRONG! Meals would be reimbursed, WRONG again. At least he would have full benefits when he went to training while he was not getting paid by his regular job, right...WRONG again!
So after it was all said and done it cost us for my hubby to be in the Army Reserves. What a life this has become... I honestly cannot see one good thing about this venture that he signed us up for, except that he can serve his country that he loves.
Tomorrow we will talk about the FRG!
